Our humble Brown Bettys may have a simple elegance, but in fact, the process of making an original hand made Brown Betty Teapot is far from simple. It starts with Staffordshire terracotta clay and it progresses through a series of manufacturing steps which need to be executed with precision. The process is very similar to that used to make Brown Betty Teapots centuries ago in 1695. All of our teapots are hand cast, lovingly fettled, fired (twice) and inspected by our dedicated team. You can find more on our process and our team by reading our blog.
